What Hansgrohe makes
Hansgrohe organises its bathroom range by area of the room, alongside a separate kitchen range.
- ShowerPlace: hand showers, overhead showers, shower systems, body jets, shower sets, manual valves, thermostats and shower drains, in ranges such as Raindance, Pulsify, Rainfinity, Croma, Crometta and Vernis.
- WashPlace: basin taps, washbasins and bathroom furniture, with tap ranges including Talis, Metropol, Vivenis, Tecturis, Finoris and Rebris.
- ToiletPlace and Bathing: toilets, bath mixers and bath fillers.

Thermostats, concealed valves and shower drains
- ShowerSelect Comfort: a concealed thermostat whose Select push buttons switch between hand and overhead showers; it controls up to three outlets and comes in round, square and softsquare designs.
- ShowerTablet Select: an exposed thermostat with an integrated shelf, 600 mm wide on the ShowerTablet 600.
- Ecostat: exposed thermostats, including Ecostat Element for a multi-spray hand shower, in Chrome or Matt Black.
- iBox universal 2: the base set for concealed installation, connected to the chosen finish set.
- SafetyStop: a safety lock at 40 °C on Hansgrohe thermostats, to help prevent scalding.
- RainDrain: linear and point shower drains, including RainDrain Rock for natural stone, RainDrain Flex (cut to length on site), RainDrain Compact for flat installation, RainDrain Match in Matt Black and RainDrain Point. Dryphon is an optional odour-blocking insert.
Water saving and finishes
EcoSmart is Hansgrohe's flow-limiting technology for showers, taps and toilets, and EcoSmart+ reduces consumption further. Hansgrohe notes that using less hot water also lowers the energy needed to heat it. CoolStart, an option on some taps, runs cold water when the lever is in the middle position.
Beyond chrome, Hansgrohe's FinishPlus surfaces include Matt Black, Matt White, Brushed Black Chrome, Brushed Bronze and Polished Gold Optic, so showers, taps and drains can be matched across a scheme.
Heritage
Hans Grohe founded a craft business for metal-spun goods in Schiltach on 15 June 1901, with tin showers in its range from the start. The hand shower became a practical alternative to the overhead shower in 1928, and in 1953 Hans Grohe, then 82, invented the wallbar, which lets a hand shower be fixed at an adjustable height. Klaus Grohe introduced the hansgrohe brand name in 1977.
